Applying for the First Home Owners’ Grant
The First Home Owners’ Grant helps applicants buy or build a new home that they will occupy as their principal place of residence for at least 6 months.
For eligible transactions prior to 20 November 2023, the amount of the grant is $15,000. For eligible transactions between 20 November 2023 and 30 June 2025, the amount of the grant is $30,000.
Before applying, you must read and understand the eligibility criteria and conditions for the grant.
Applications cannot be lodged with Queensland Revenue Office until completion of the eligible transaction. Once you have lodged a complete application, with all supporting documentation, please allow 10 business days for Queensland Revenue Office to process your application.
